REMA TIP TOP strengthens Surface Protection distribution network

REMA TIP TOP, a globally operating system provider of products and services in the field of conveying and treatment technology, surface protection as well as tire repair, has acquired a majority interest in National Waterproofing Supply, Inc., a US-based distributor of construction products in the waterproofing, caulking, painting and concrete repair industries.

“With National Waterproofing, we are expanding our distribution network”, says Olafur Gunnarsson, President at REMA TIP TOP North America. “America represents a key growth market for REMA TIP TOP. Through National Waterproofing’s e-commerce platform, our network now features a reputable distribution hub. This provides solid groundwork to continue our expansion strategy.” The acquisition of National Waterproofing complements REMA TIP TOP’s offer in the field of surface protection.

National Waterproofing has grown significantly over the past years. A start-up five years ago, today the company operates facilities in Orlando, Miami and Tampa, Florida as well as one in Denver, Colorado. The company is well positioned for growth into additional areas as well as through its B2B e-commerce platform and plans to bring innovation and new levels of service to the industry.

Olafur Gunnarsson adds: “Our network, management know-how and financial capabilities will provide National Waterproofing with the resources to accelerate their already impressive course. We expect that the strength of REMA TIP TOP will permit further development of National Waterproofing’s e-commerce platform.”
